Introduction from Zane Balode

In my Art classes, kids have the chance to express themselves creatively using a variety of materials. Every child has their own unique way of working, and each student has their individual approach to creating art.

Inside each of us, there's a wellspring of creativity waiting to emerge, and it's a teacher's responsibility to help students bring out this creativity without any constraints. Fear often holds back children who have a strong desire to express themselves authentically, but when fear is removed, their artistic potential knows no bounds.

I've been an Art teacher at Exupery International School for eight years now. During this time, I've been fortunate to work with students both in small groups and individually, guiding them as they explore their own ideas. I always find it inspiring to listen to students as they delve into their passions, share their stories, and express their feelings about art. Our art class provides a safe, comfortable, and peaceful environment where students can delight in creating art and crafting their own masterpieces.

Throughout our lessons, we'll venture into diverse painting techniques taught by different artists. We'll craft artwork using mixed media, creating collages. Our creative journey will involve using ink, watercolors, and tempera paints. Children will also have the opportunity to become acquainted with soft and oil pastels, among other artistic tools and techniques.
