We are excited to announce the launch of the driving courses at EIS for Category B and AM, in partnership with the driving school "Einšteins".
For parents and students, juggling multiple activities and locations when planning a schedule can be a challenge. Between lessons in one place, language courses in another, and sports activities on the other side of town, it can seem impossible to add something as important as driving lessons.
Thus, we've decided to partner with the driving school "Einšteins" to offer a comprehensive driving course at Exupery, making it easier for you to plan your time. The experienced driving instructors will guide you through every step, helping you get closer to getting your driver's license. More detailed information and the application can be found below.
Category B
Deadline for application: 12.03.23
The classes will be held on Wednesdays from 17:00-21:05 at EIS
Course language: English
Age of participants: 16+ years old (recommended age is 17+ years old)
Theory
- 11 theory lessons (4 hours each);
- 2 first aid lessons (one lesson is held online, the other offline, 5-6 hours). The lessons take place at the EIS.
A student driver must complete at least 10 driving lessons (each lasting 90 minutes) before taking the exam. Driving lessons start in the center of Riga, but can be held in other locations for an additional fee.
Exams
Theory and driving exams at school and CSDD.
Cost
The cost of the course (970€) covers student registration for CSDD, the theoretical course, first aid training, 10 driving lessons, as well as theoretical and driving exams at the school.
Additional costs
- CSDD fee (€79.36) covers theory and driving exams, learner's license and driver's license registration;
- Medical examination: €40;
- Textbook set: €22.40 (Note: textbooks only available in Russian and Latvian);
- Additional driving lessons and special meeting places can be arranged with the instructor individually;
- Extra 45-minute lesson costs €23, and 90-minute lesson costs €46.
Category AM

The classes will be held on Saturdays from 10:00 to 12:00 at EIS
Course language: English
Age of participants: 14+ years old
Category AM is the driving license for mopeds and scooters, which entitles the holder to participate in road traffic with two- or three-wheeled motor vehicles with a maximum engine displacement of 50 cm3 and a maximum design velocity of 45 km/h, as well as with four-wheeled motor vehicles with an unladen weight not exceeding 350 kg, a maximum engine displacement of 50 cm3 and a maximum design velocity of 45 km/h.
The program includes three lessons, each lasting two hours.
Cost
The cost of the course (95 €) includes the registration for category AM at the driving school and the theory lessons.
Additional costs
- Textbook set: 22,40 € (Please note that the textbooks are available only in Russian and Latvian).
- Driving school "Einšteins" also offers AM category driving lessons for 25 € for 45 minutes and 50 € for 90 minutes.
