Grade 5 took a trip to the Parliament of Latvia

In Unit 1, Grade 5 are looking deeply into how people in positions of influence effect others. Last week Grade 5 had a fantastic opportunity to visit Parliament of Latvia, tour the historical building and ask questions that helped us in our inquiry into leadership and decision making.

We established that there are one hundred parliament members in office currently making decisions on behalf of Latvia, the president attends the weekly meetings there every Thursday and 'the speaker' is the most important person in the chambers when ministers hold session. Let's take this information forward and see how we can help others in positions of influence as leaders of the PYP.
