As part of our first unit of inquiry 'Who we are', Grade 4 have been learning about their bodies and the systems within.
In Science, students researched the different systems, including the respiratory, digestive and nervous systems. They then used this information in Arts and Craft lessons to create display boards to represent several of these systems.
To create these, students learned about body proportions. They then drew the outline of a person and their chosen body system. The students chose to represent the skeletal, respiratory, digestive, muscular and circulatory systems.
The students wanted these displays to be interactive and educational for other students within the school, so they added backgrounds and then cut out space where the head would be so that other students around the school could pose with these systems.
