We are proud of our high school student, Isabel, who was accepted into the Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) program — an academic enrichment program for students from around the world. Isabel submitted several essays as well as a letter of recommendation from her teacher, Ms. Fleur, and was selected in the top 23.5% (2,000 out of 8,500) of applicants.
Isabel will participate in the YYGS sessions "Literature, Philosophy, & Culture", which explore various creative arts such as fiction, philosophy, poetry, theater, film, music, visual arts, and dance.
As Isabel puts it, "What I love about history is that it reveals how people have expressed themselves artistically over time and teaches us about the timeless nature of human creativity and emotion."
