We are proud to share an outstanding academic achievement — our G8 student Maija has been awarded a III Degree Diploma (III pakāpe) in the Latvian State Olympiad in English.
To give context, this is not a regional competition. Maija competed at the national level alongside some of the strongest students from across the country.
Importantly, a pakāpe is not simply a “place,” but a distinction awarded only to students who meet a defined standard of excellence. This places Maija among the top-performing students in the country in English.
Congratulations to Maija on this well-deserved recognition, and a heartfelt thank you to our entire teaching team — at EIS, every teacher is, in many ways, a language teacher. Special thanks to Maija’s English teacher, Ms Elīna Vestmane.
