Guided by the ideals of the United Nations, and as an IB World School, Exupery International School provides a caring and challenging learning environment, which fosters international mindedness and multilingualism. We inspire our day and boarding students to become creative, resilient, and responsible citizens, who will thrive and be happy within our ever-changing technological world.

Learning at EIS is a process that enables learners to acquire knowledge, values, attitudes and skills that will ensure their success and happiness at EIS and beyond. It occurs within a caring, collaborative, respectful and challenging environment, which has been organized purposefully in order to achieve specific outcomes. High quality learning requires educators to have clear intentions conveyed through predefined learning objectives, carefully designed assessment for and of learning, and the implementation of appropriate, inclusive teaching methods.

These guiding Statements inform the decision making on all levels of school operations, serve a guideline for the strategic directions and the school-wide goals, and as a basis for all school policies.

FOUNDERS VISION

"Like the great humanist and writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, I believe that "only the children know what they are looking for.” The task of all adults is only to help them to find it. "The Little Prince" is one of the most beloved and significant books in my life. It reminds adults of what was important to them when they were little children, and also manages to teach us that important things happen here and now, not at some later time. Therefore, the name for this school - Exupery - came naturally.

Exupery International School is a place where teachers are mentors that help children not only master the academic program, but, most importantly, find their mission. After all, the happiest people on Earth are those whose childhood hobbies have become part of their professional life. If a person is engaged in what he or she really likes, then they have both the motivation and desire to move forward and achieve true results."

A WORD FROM OUR HEAD OF SCHOOL

Exupery International School is a vibrant and rapidly growing learning community where students feel happy, safe and at home. For our boarders, school is actually a home from home – and it is amazing for them to be part of a school that is alive 24/7.

It is truly exciting to feel the buzz of teaching and learning, see the smiles of students and teachers, and hear different languages every day. Our fantastic purpose-built facility is the perfect setting for our rigorous PYP, IBDP, and IGCSE academic programs, all of which promote an international outlook, critical thinking, metacognition, and creativity.

Our language of instruction is English, but we also have robust mother tongue programs for local languages, and provide opportunities for the acquisition of at least one more additional language. All this contributes to the development of the whole child, and makes coming to school every day exciting. Hard to believe? Ask our students!

As an international school, we are committed to processes that help us to improve and develop in accordance with both national and international standards.

Exupery International School is an IB World School and Cambridge Examination Center, offering:

The school is a member of the Boarding Schools' Association (BSA) and is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), which sets high standards for the organization of the learning process and accommodation at Exupery boarding school.

In addition to international authorisations, EIS has obtained accreditation from the Latvian Ministry of Education. This means that our students are assured an education that is, first and foremost, formally recognized by both national and international institutions.

In 2021 State Education Quality Service of Latvia awarded the international status to Exupery International School. The new status gives students of the school the opportunity to study following international educational programs in English and receive international diplomas, which are recognized in Latvia and in other countries around the world.

The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme in Preschool equivalent to the stage of Pre-school education in the Republic of Latvia;
The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme in Grades 1-5 and followed by the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGSCE) Programme in Grades 6-9 equivalent to stage of the Basic Education in the Republic of Latvia;
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) in high school equivalent to the stage of academic Secondary Education in the Republic of Latvia.

Izmēģinājuma periodā testējām inovatīvu mājaslapas tērzētavas sistēmu, kas ne tikai atbild uz jautājumiem, bet mācās saprast mūsu klientu vajadzības. Šī pieredze ļauj mums augt un kļūt vēl pieejamākiem!

Our staffing body truly represents, the high academic standards and international mindset we wish to establish here at Exupery. Within the 76 members of the staffing body we have, Choreographers, Designers, Entrepreneurs, Inventors, Medics, Professional Artists and Sportsmen, Scientists, linguists and a World Champion. The diverse range of ‘worldly’ experience and knowledge our staffing body bring to the classroom help to enable us to create a multicultural environment in which children can explore ideas and engage within debate, in a safe and supportive environment.

2024. gadā 25. septembrī Starptautiskā vidusskola “Ekziperī”, SIA noslēdza līgumu ar Latvijas investīciju un attīstības aģentūru (LIIA, līguma Nr.17.1-1-L-2024/408) par finansiāla atbalsta saņemšanu dalībai starptautiskās izstādes ar individuālo stendu ārvalstīs. Projekts tiek līdzfinansēts no Eiropas reģionālās attīstības fonda (ERAF).
