I am teaching Mathematics and Chemistry.
Before joining EIS, I was working in Taiwan for 6 years, with my last school being Taoyuan American School, where I taught for 3 years. During my final two years, I taught Physics and Chemistry at the High School level and Mathematics at the Middle School level.
I graduated from Cape Peninsula University of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, specializing in the Intermediate and Senior Phase.
Qualifications:
I am proud of all the students I have seen graduate, or watching them progress in their education — especially those who used to struggle with subjects like Mathematics and Science and believed they didn’t have it in them to succeed. Helping them build the confidence to thrive and realize they have the potential to achieve great things is what makes me proud.
After work I like to go scuba diving when I have time — I have a PADI certificate. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends. Swimming, rugby, and cricket are my favourite sports, as I used to compete in them when I was in school. And definitely braaiing — it’s a very cultural thing to do as a South African.

To get up in the morning and go to school I tell myself... I don’t really need to say much. I get excited to go to school and help my students improve their education — and to have fun doing it.

When I was a child I wanted to become... a race car driver, then a swimmer representing South Africa in the Olympics, and later a detective, as my father used to be a police officer.

I am learning from kids... one is never too old to learn new things. Everyone has a unique mindset and sees the world differently. Never settle for being average — always strive to improve yourself. Just as we expect growth and progress from our students, we must hold ourselves to the same standard.

The school of the future is not just about smarter technology — it’s about smarter learning, deeper purpose, and human-centered design.
