On March 16, 2024, Exupery International School will host the international conference "The Future of Inclusive Education" on its premises in Latvia. Targeted at educators, enthusiasts of inclusion, and parents, it strives to raise awareness of and boost discussion about the future of more accessible education.
As an interactive platform for educators, parents, and administrators the "Future of Inclusive Education" conference aims to share best practices and insights on inclusive education. It will focus on teacher training, parent education, use of technology for serving diverse needs, and practical strategies for fostering inclusivity for learning. The conference will feature internationally renowned keynote speakers Dr Elizabeth Joy Shaffer (USA) and Marijke Miles (UK). They bring to the conference over a half a century of combined experience in the field. Admission to the conference is free.

"Inclusion in education is crucial as it ensures that all students, regardless of their abilities or differences, can learn and thrive in a supportive environment. It promotes diversity, fosters a sense of belonging, and prepares students for the real world, where people have varied skills and backgrounds. Inclusive education benefits students with special needs as well as gifted and talented and enhances their overall learning experience. It is more than meeting the needs of exceptional learners; it's about creating an educational landscape that nurtures understanding, cooperation, and a shared commitment to the success of every learner, fostering a more compassionate and harmonious community", - Brenna Weston Bell, the organizer of the conference and the Head of Learning Support at EIS.
